Dr. Darsi Perusini
Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Perusini grew up in Spruce Grove, Alberta. He is a certified specialist in pediatric dentistry and a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Dr. Perusini runs an inclusive practice in downtown Edmonton focused on providing quality and culturally-appropriate dental care to all children as well as adults with special healthcare needs. He maintains privileges at the Stollery Children’s Hospital and the Alberta Surgical Centre. Dr. Perusini is a clinical instructor and lecturer in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Alberta. He is also a member of the Non-Insured Health Benefits Oral Health Advisory Committee (Government of Canada), supporting Canada’s Indigenous population.
Following graduation from the University of Alberta School of Dentistry, Dr. Perusini moved to Toronto to complete a general practice residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. Subsequently, he completed a Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Toronto and the Hospital for Sick Children.
Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Perusini enjoys cycling and hiking with his better half, has a passion for architecture and design, and dabbles in culinary pursuits as well as international travel. He is a self-admitted coffee addict with a fond appreciation for local roasters. He also loves music and has recently taken up playing the cello. In the future, Dr. Perusini dreams of owning his own butcher shop where he can prepare sausage and charcuterie in the style of his Italian heritage.
Samantha
Office Manager
Samantha grew up in Edmonton and has called it home for more than 30 years. A graduate of the NAIT Television Arts program, Samantha spent nearly twenty years in various roles in the television industry producing and supporting the development of community-focussed content. From there she worked at Edmonton’s Food Bank and later the Kidney Foundation, NABT Branch, with responsibilities that included special events, marketing, communications, volunteer engagement, fund development and management.
Since July 2021, Samantha has been our office manager focused on ensuring our office is a welcoming and inclusive space where our team can provide comprehensive, quality dental care. She is always available to work with our families to build a positive and collaborative relationship rooted in respect and open communication.
In the past Samantha has volunteered with Suit Yourself and Big Brothers Big Sisters. She and her partner are currently regular plasma donors with Canadian Blood Services. Outside the office, Samantha enjoys trying new restaurants, exploring a farmers’ market, cooking and game night with friends and family. She also loves to read and is trying to spend less time bingeing favourite shows and more time settling in with a good book.
